The overthinking challenge is partly addressed by Besos/Amazon by his type 1 /2 decision framework. thanks for sharing! i am a chronic overthinker so really needed this post :) on writing practice: maybe you could try the ben franklin method using passages from authors who write beautifully (e.g. nabokov, rilke...)?

I find that discovering "all the cool people" is often but not always a necessary pre-requisite towards jumping in IN SOME FORMAT (knowing where all the cool online projects on the Internet are, perhaps as a result of hackathons, is another prereq towards jumping in).

Couldn't agree more I love the chart. The challenge comes when deciding between two paths that the other will not exist if picking one.

What I've found is important to remember - on a long enough timeline, it doesn't matter. Not viewing incorrect decisions as anything but sunk costs and making future decisions based on best current information in pursuit of the outcome as opposed to trying to nurture an ego.
